COMMANDMENT SEVEN

Thou shalt not commit adultery. ~ Exodus 20:14 ~ The Seventh Commandment.

Warning… the following post contains the truth. The world needs to hear the truth! The world needs to know that sin is the same today as it was years ago. God has not changed! I have asked before and I will ask again today, can you handle the truth?

This commandment concerns chastity, both physical and mental and is not limited too just the mere definition of the word. It also involves whatever we do, speak, condone and look at if in pollutes the mind. It involves our relationships whether it is between man and woman, man - man or woman - woman.  It is sin and we must call it what it is. A man and a man or woman and a woman is a form of adultery even if some states now recognize marriage by same sex couples. Why? The answer is because it pollutes the mind and it is wrong it is sin – call it what it is.  I knew it was wrong and I called it sin, but I had not thought about it being adultery, or more precise “fornication”. Wow! What God reveals if we listen!

What else pollutes the mind? Men is it that beautiful woman you just saw walk by? Women is it that handsome man at the pool? Is it the images you just saw on another website? Is it that person (that is not your spouse) that you are having a little fling with? I saw an ad on a news site a few days ago advertising a dating site for married people. Now do not be confused here, it is not a dating service for you and your spouse.  What is the world coming too? Again call it what it is – it is sin.

Read what Jesus said in Matthew 5: 27 -28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Also look at what Jesus said in Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mark 10:11 – 12 reads And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Can this be any more plain? These are the words of Jesus. Are we going to discount anything that Jesus said? How many people do we see divorcing just because they do not want to work on the relationship? There is only one reason given by Jesus for a divorce and I can find no prevision for remarriage, still more than half of all marriages in the United States end in divorce. These people will almost always remarry and this is adultery.  Again call it what it is.

I hope and pray you were able to read today’s post without offence, if not all I can say is take it up with God because I used his Holy Word as my instruction and guidance as I always do. I make no apologies for the truth. Can you handle the truth?

God Bless You!
