A The Baptist Deacon

Curious

I am curious. Are my post being read? My prayer is that they are. I also pray that each post is informative, inspirational and what God wants me to write. If you are reading please leave me a comment even if you do not agree with me.

I pray about what God want me to write about in this blog. I wanted to write Friday but I couldn’t seem to get a thought. I now ask that God would guide this entry and that He would get all the glory and that it honor Him.

I completed a whirlwind trip to New York last week for work.  This by far is the biggest place I have ever been. I am a country boy raised on a farm in Tennessee. There were more people there than I had ever seen in my life. To say I felt out of place is an understatement.

If you read the post before this one you know that I had a few reservations about flying, but I want you to know that God granted peace. I had peace before I left work last Monday. I told my Sunday school class yesterday that I just couldn’t describe the peace I felt and as I write this morning I still can not put into words the way I felt. I knew that everything was going to be okay. I also told the class yesterday that I had to get to a place where I would accept whatever God sent and to know that whatever the outcome was that it was God’s will.

In Isaiah chapter 9 verses 6 and 7 Isaiah is prophesying about the birth of Jesus. 6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Now where did the peace I received about my trip last week come from? It came from “The Prince of Peace” our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Isaiah chapter 32: 17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.  18And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; Isaiah was blessed with the knowledge that he was given. I believe he truly was a great profit of God.

In Mark chapter 4 Jesus rebuked the wind and said unto the sea “Peace, be still. And the wind ceased and there was great calm.

Jesus spoke peace into my heart one time as a fifteen year old boy when he saved me and made me whole.  Jesus again spoke peace to my heart last week when he told me everything was going to be okay.

Jesus still wants to save you today he can still speak peace to your heart, he can still save you make you born again make you a fit subject for immortal glory. If you’re lost he wants to do that for you. Are you willing or do you want to continue to go the way you are? Do you want to go to Heaven? One thing is sure you will spend eternity somewhere. Will it be in Heaven or will it be in Hell which will be dumped into the lake of fire? Ask yourself this question: Where will you spend eternity?

If you answer is Hell then I pray that you are saved before it is too late. You can only be saved when the Holy Sprit draws you and you truly believe that Jesus is the son of God and he died on the cross and rose again, and you pray “your” prayer asking God to forgive you.

Until next time may God Bless You! Smile

If I could copy and paste this first paragraph to my own writings I would! It is frustrating at times - feeling "led" to open our thoughts, hearts, and experiences to others and then be left wondering if anyone is "listening." There is, of course, One who listens, and at least one who reads. I'm glad your trip went well. I was praying for your peace. Thank you for letting us know that you flew in it. Blessings ~
