PRAISE THE LORD!

deaconfarley | March 25, 2008 09:48

As I sat down to write this morning I wondered what subject to use. I finished part two of Creation dealing with dinosaurs, but I don’t feel today is the day to make that post. I may still tweak it a little bit.

I think I will repost Creation part one Thursday or Friday this week and the post part two next week on Monday or Tuesday depending on the upgrade to christianblogsites.

Today I want to spend a few minutes praising the Lord. Let’s all be honest, we don’t spend enough time praising God and I have to include myself in that. Our Lord and Savior desires and deserves our praise.

We are so unworthy. Our God sent his only son to die on the cruel cross so that we might be saved and go to Heaven and Immortal Glory and just look at how we repay him.

I’m not trying to get down on anyone I just want you to take a little time out of your busy schedule and praise God.

Look at Psalms 111: 1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. 2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.  3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. 5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. 6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.  7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.  8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. 9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.  10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Take a few minutes and pray for the sick and afflicted. I have several friends who are experiencing sickness whether it is them or someone in there family. Especially remember Lynn with Faithfully Fighting.

May God bless you!

Thank you for posting on Lynn's faithfully fighting blog. I'm Lynn's guy, Pete. Your words of encouragement and especially the meditations on the Psalms were especially helpful for me today. I can't begin to tell you how much The Lord has used blogs and emails through all of this battle against the cancer to bring Glory to His Son. He has demonstrated the supernatural love that exists among the Church and has used that to reach and witness to those yet unsaved. You're right that we don't give praise to Him enough for He is solely deserving of our whole lives and I can testify (much to my disgrace) that I hold back like a miser. I'm grateful for His forgiveness and especially lately for His daily Grace, because the storms in the soul get very rough lately, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." - Eph. 6:12 Thanks for your caring enough to listen and pray God keep and bless you, Brother Pete

Bret, I want to thank you for your prayers and kind words. It is truely a blessing that you would take your time for my needs. I am joyful at the Lord's work in and through all of us walking with Him. Lynn
