Hi and welcome back to my blog. It would seem that all the blogs I read survived the upgrade. So far I like what I see on the new and improved site. Thank you to all who have commented in the past and I look forward to your future comments.

I am going to repost part one of creation this morning. In the morning I plan to post part two. Before you read each post I want you to know I have not written either of these post for argument. With that being said you should still leave me a comment even if you don’t agree. As long as it is not a hateful, spiteful or just down right mean I will allow the comment. You can disagree with me and not be hateful, spiteful or mean. After all aren’t we a group of Christian people trying to write what God wants us to?

CREATION

Creation; this is the subject of much debate. There are many different opinions about creation and the age of the earth, as an example just go to a search on the internet.

I want this to be laid out exactly how God wants it to be presented.

Why can’t we just take the Genesis account of creation and be finished with it? Why do we want to make the earth older than it is? Why do we want to be in confusion about the dinosaurs?

I can answer these questions simply it is because the devil is the author of confusion. We could leave it at that but for the sake of argument we will explore these questions and hopefully several more.

To let you know where I stand, I believe the Geneses account describes a literal six day creation with the seventh as a day of rest.

I have heard people say that with God a day is as a thousand years. This may be true, but if so why wouldn’t the Geneses account have been clearer. (The Geneses account is very clear on creation week.) People also want to use this argument to try and prove that the earth is older than it is.

Just so you know where we are in time, from Adam and Eve until today is just over six thousand years that’s it. Now let’s say that God used a thousand years as a day in creation that would only add at most 7 thousand years to the age of the earth. If my math is correct that is as most 13 thousand. So how can you say the earth is millions and even billions of years old? If you believe in God and if you are subscribing to the theory that it took about 7 thousand years or longer to create the earth how are you dealing with the first five verses of the bible?

Genesis 1

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Did I read that correctly? The evening and the morning were the first day? So from the very first day light and darkness were separated therefore the beginning of time, not only time but days as we have days now.

What about dinosaurs? Science tells us they lived billions of years ago. I will try and address and answer the question of dinosaurs in the next post.

A web site you might want to check out is http://www.users.bigpond.com/rdoolan/index.html this site also deals with creation.

Until next time feel free to leave comments. May God Bless You!
